How to install LDAP

At work I moved a legacy CI app to my local environment to migrate it to our new git workflow. For testing, I needed to install ldap onto my Scotch box as well as create documentation so the people after me would know how to do it as well. These are the steps I followed on a new vagrant box.

  1. sudo apt-get update
  2. sudo apt-get upgrade (this takes forever!)
  3. sudo apt-get install php5-ldap
  4. /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
